This jig was based on the Erie Rig lure, a weight forward spinner popularized in Lake Erie waters. We adapted that legendary lure several decades ago with the first Do-It® Erie Jig Mold, Model JE-6-A, which has been often imitated by major lure manufacturers. The Erie Jig has been and remains one of the most effective jig designs for walleye fishing in the world.
